This program was started in the 70s by a nun from Brooklyn to provide breakfast for the children who go to school hungry and the elderly in the town of Yanque. In July-September 2016, we organized the warehouse, increased food and clothing donations, improved the daily soup recipe, bought wood to reopen the bakery, and provided seeds for the greenhouses. We will continue communication through the year to provide the food and supplies which are lacking. We hope to provide flowers for the garden, more wood for the bakery and better ingredients for the breakfast. All of this is contingent on proper reporting from the team that has run this program for many years, so that we can be assured our proper use of the resources donated by Urban Angels. We want to also see increased support from the church, the community and other organizations.
